ANDREW “ANDY” WILD

January 2, 1932 ~ May 19, 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished husband, dad, opa, and dear friend. Andy was predeceased by his son Errol in August 2009. He is survived by his wife Molly, daughters Julie (Chris) and Carly (Claude), grandchildren Dylan (Victoria), Amber (Corey), Taylor and Logan, and great grandson Miller.

Andy was born in Berlin Germany in 1932. He immigrated to Canada in 1955. He travelled along the West Coast and settled in Ocean Falls BC. It was there that he met Molly, his wife of 52 years. A painter by trade, Andy worked at Crown Zellerbach for the 10 years they resided in Ocean Falls. Andy and Molly had three children- Errol, Julie and Carly. The family had a wonderful life there but after the devastating avalanche in 1964, they moved to Kamloops BC.

Andy worked at Weyerhaeuser Pulp Mill for 31 years, a “Day 1’er.” His life was filled with family and friends. Andy enjoyed landscape painting, the shooting range, and painting the homes of family and friends. After retiring, Andy looked forward to Monday coffee with his retired “mill buddies.”

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Yanko and Andy’s wonderful friends, Rolf, Stuart and Sam.

No formal service at Andy’s request. Donations in Andy’s memory may be made to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, 311 Columbia St., Kamloops BC V2C 2T1. Flowers gratefully declined.
