BARBARA SUSAN McCAIG
Barbara Susan McCaig of Kamloops passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 72 years of age. She is survived by her loving husband David, daughter Despina Papparis, son John (Collinda) Kefalidis, stepsons Vaughn (Kim) McCaig, Roy (Carol) McCaig, and Reverend Father Scott McCaig; grandchildren Chloe & Alexandra Papparis, Jason & George Kefalidis, Kara, Lisa, Erica, Ryan, Evan and Lauren McCaig; two brothers and four sisters, and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
We will always remember her laughter, smiles, caring and love. How gracious she was and how very energetic! She always had an ear, a hug, wise words, delicious food, and a smile for all who came to see her. Barb could do anything, from fishing (better than David!) to plumbing to haute couture. Although she worked at, and mastered, many things in her life, her greatest accomplishment was her family. Throughout her difficult illness she never lost her smile. Barb always made the best of any situation.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and nurses at Ponderosa Lodge, where she spent the last year. Thank you also to the staff at Hospice and to Dr. Thomasse for their care of Barb.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, May 24, 2010 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Father Scott McCaig officiating .
